Get to know  Kal Zeryihun

Kal Zeryihun LCSW

Hello and welcome! I am a licensed therapist and certified integrative mental health provider. It is my intention for your therapy sessions to have significant and lasting value to you.

I provide treatment to individuals who are experiencing anxiety, depression, and other mental health conditions including those struggling with experiences of single incident and complex trauma. I work with individuals from all walks of life and lifestyles.

​

I value mental health care that is more than symptom reduction. My emphasis is on human flourishing and helping you build and maintain a meaningful life grounded in your values. I use a mind and body integrated approach to healing, such as increasing awareness of the gut-brain connection and incorporating mindfulness practices along with traditional Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you improve your mental health using more of the pathways your body naturally heals itself.

Outside of my clinical work, I have a deep appreciation for storytelling - whether through the imagined worlds of science fiction and fantasy, or through real-life narratives of struggle, resilience, and everything in between. In my personal time, I enjoy writing poetry, which is my way of telling stories. I also enjoy camping, seeking attention from my cats, spending time with people I love - preferably while eating yummy foods, and walking where there are more trees than I can count.
